Congressional Republicans address media about FBI shakedown of Trump; Red Herring update

Wow, I really like these guys! Although they are from Mississippi, New York State, Ohio, Oklahoma, etc, all different places, one is an ex FBI agent, another a former military bomb tech guy, whoever they were, they speak my language.

Look I appreciate not everyone is a citizen of Spain and Australia like little old me. Not everyone can appreciate the good, bad and ugly of citizenship in a nation that didn't have any democracy for decades. But this was the case in Spain recently and in Australia in the late 18th century and most if the 19th century. Where there are no democrats there are republicans, in communist China there are no democrats, there never were any. Only republicans. Bulgaria has its democrats for a while prior to world war two. Then no democrats for decades. These are not just names of political parties in America (which used to be different names anyway). But these scandals in America are not new and are a mainstay of american politics for centuries now.

Ok so while the Mrs and the girls go out with the next door neighbors for an excursion, the boy and I will kayak out to the Red Herring.

Last excursion was a fizzler. I immediately became panicky after unhooking her from mooring as I sensed not enough water was coming out of exhaust (sea water cooled engine, must be coming out of exhaust otherwise not being cooled properly). I didn't realize later until debriefing over phone with diesel mechanic that services her, I was scared of making my wife late (scared of her, my father in law was right), even though she wasn't present that day. In fact my American/Australian buddy Brett from western Sydney/German US army base was my Mrs that day and most likely I didn't want to make him and our daughters and my son wait or I did it subconsciously: I throttled up the Red Herring to high power (she's only 8hp y'all) for like twenty minutes (maybe coz there's too much drag as overdue for slipping, scrape down of hull. Also I have another job interview Tuesday for this exact job).

By the time I got to Salt Pan Cove wharf I had outraced even Brett and the kids but overheated the engine, she stalled and was a bit smokey at the time some weeks ago. As I have achieved 'happiness' as Thomas Jefferson defined it in the American constitution, the pursuit thereof, I can't remember when a lot of things happen as everything is a happy blur albeit I could probably eat better and therefore think better and I still have annoyances a plenty, wife not least.

Anyway she had overheated after being on full throttle (big NoNo) and I had no motor so tossed over an anchor and got Brett to help me tie her to the private jetty next to the public one at Salt Pan Cove wharf. I guess I love my maneuvers because I was really having the time of my life talking to NSW Marine Rescue on my handheld radio after that. Yes $85 on discount and plugs into a wall socket for recharge. We have the same power point style as China, in Australia, quite a coincidence. If you can't tell how happy I was talking to Marine Rescue on my new $85 (on discount) marine handheld radio, after charging it with the onboard electrical solution I provided with a 110watt solar panel, it's like something's wrong with you. NSW Marine Rescue threw me a line which I tied to the front cleat then ran to stern to make sure my boat didn't smash onto any pilons (they scare me as they can damage the hull). Looks like I made an amazing blocking tackle like in NFL but actually against a pilon pushing Red Herring away from that. Then Marine Rescue were towing me for the twenty minutes ride back to my mooring, I hit them up on the radio, do you mind if I try restarting my engine? Go for it they said. And the same thing, I had my engine on full throttle and she predictably stalled upon deceleration.

So today after having removed (a few days ago) the engine jacket for the first time (it's tricky) and wiping some engine oil of the motor (which was probably causing the overheating steamy smoke) and checking no water in the fuel filter, it's off to see if she can handle lower throttle motoring and for a sail with the boy. I also cleaned the filter for the sea water cooling inlet valve. It was a bit gravelly there, the mechanic seemed surprised to hear about that.

My hey thiever [sic] tablets were in position. Thought I wouldn't be needing them but started sneezing like crazy last night so maybe will. Also too much mold about.

Got to give my son a haircut this morning. Almost o eight hundred hours.

Returning to aforementioned Congressional Republicans and they [sic] inspirational speech (I'm not being sarcastic, they are inspirational). Well I might finish that thought later, I'm not for sure about mentioning it. Not especially important.

Giving leeway, showin' that thong....

Man I really dodged a bullet on the Red Herring today, holy crap. Now I know, don't mess around without insurance, had that problem with a Porsche already. Don't play around on Pittwater when the westerly is gusting, eg over 10 knots. It's coming from the mainland instead of from the ocean and is unpredictable and dangerous. Even still I would have been fine but I thought I could maneuver just with the jibb. Wow, almost had a bad accident. Amazeballs. Turns out the private jetty nearest Claireville beach is commonly used by whoever, as it pertains to a holiday house and all. I just need to grab it on a middling to high tide or high tide to middling tide. Figure out what the draw is on the Red Herring also.

Apparently nowadays the America's Cup yacht races  and other similar elite sailing regattas are running on hydrofoils nowadays. Maybe you could have whole flotillas or warships on hydrofoils. Something to look at. And tri-hulled catamarans. Do not mess with the westerly winds on Pittwater. Jesus that was really a close call! Crazy.

Mike Jones bro, crazy:
