However, I feel I can give you a more insightful perspective. The first misunderstanding the folks at Fox news have is that Putin wants to remake the Soviet union one nation at a time. This is actually ridiculous. He might like to do that but even he realises this is unrealistic. Developing the northern polar route for shipping between the EU and China is where it's at for Putin. Secondly Putin cares most about peace and stability within Russia. If Putin were smart he would understand Biden's administration is part disruptor and part incompetent and they would love to see civil unrest I'm Russia which is what Putin least would want according to his own patriotic mindset.
With regard to pitching away slightly at the border with Ukraine at present, everything is to Putin's favor and in his interest: destabilizing the American stock markets and oil markets with overhyped fears of war serves to raise gas prices and destabilizes american stock markets which is to Biden's detriment and Biden's fault for causing it.
Germany doesn't care. Unless america/Biden puts sanctions on Russia, Germany has nothing to lose as she only cares about her oil and gas from Russia. If america pisses Putin off with sanctions he can just take it out on the EU by slowing down oil and gas, slowing down Germany's economy and probably just sell somewhere else. Most Russians are super poor anyway so only the oligarchs would mostly notice. Russia's government is happy to try American sanctions if they have to.
Russia's government rightly does not want Ukraine joining NATO or the EU. Neither does a lot of Ukraine. Neither does the EU. England isn't in the EU, Serbia isn't in the EU. There are already plenty of missiles pointed at Russia in Romania and Bulgaria wherever, Hungary. Russia barely cares. Ukraine does not have any treaty with the EU or anything. It's historically intertwined with Russia and Germany isn't even offering Ukraine a plebiscite to the EU or anything. So really Biden probably feels happy with Jake Sullivan they have something important looking to do, pretty good for dopey hacks.
Consider if you're standing in Helsinki you're only one hour away from St Petersburg. Does Putin want to conquer Finland too? I don't think so. Ukraine isn't in NATO and isn't in the EU. There's no treaty to abide by. America caring about this dopey backwater is ludicrous crazy. All it will do is destabilize the oil market and Wall Street, not necessarily in china's interest either since the CCP and Wall Street are really the symbiotic ones.
It's normal for Russia not to want missiles pointed at her borders everywhere. It's also an unusual policy for america to be pushing. Considering we now have hypersonic weapons.
If you continue as is at the moment, doesn't bother Russia. Pretty sure about that. I wouldn't run to defend Ukraine if I were america, ludicrous. Let the EU take care of Ukraine. Biden is super extreme. Best thing is Texas just keeps building a wall and defends their border that Biden has open.
Just to clarify, Putin wanting to reset up the CCCP is ludicrous. I mean if the guy pines for it as a lot of Russians from his generation do, than that speaks to his ignorance which we all have a good dose of. Putin isn't out to reconquer all these places. Modern Russia started in Ukraine. Let the Ukrainians have a plebiscite and ask the EU to let them in. Let NATO worry about Finland. Come on.

With regard to the Nord stream pipeline or whatever it's called, you'd have to listen to Ted Cruz as he's the main guy in the Congress that knows what's up with it. That's an important component in the issue also. It's possible Biden is corrupted by a bribe from the Russians as he took basically a bribe from the mayor of Moscow's wife. Say I talk to Curtis Sliwa on the radio (I do) and he ran for mayor of NYC (America's Moscow; he did) and then I talk to his wife Nancy (I did) and Curtis offers me a little 'gift' (he did - some coffee). Then I express interest in that 'gift' (I did) then offer something in exchange for it (I did) and call that 'barter' (not bribery; that's what happened). See it wouldn't be unethical because it's small potatoes, a little tin of coffee. Well that's what Biden got from the mayor of Moscow's wife but how much coffee could he buy with it? (A lot). Totally corrupt and crazy deceitful left wing media in America living and fighting behind walls (gated communities).
