McEnroe and Bensinger; Colorado, Denver

Here's McEnroe talking to Bensinger, McEnroe mentions seeing a therapist (eg cognitive behavioral therapy one would assume), how expensive it can be.

I'd been doing so much of this kind of therapy lately for free on these American 'warmlines' and also the Australian ones. I became very dependent on the Colorado service, I would even say it has become an addiction like what McEnroe mentioned. I mean he mentioned smoking and it has been like five years now for me, no smoking. But I was so impressed with the service the folks in Denver area were giving me, I felt like they have really been having my back now for weeks now, very nice psychology. So last night I tried kind of looking at Denver and Colorado on YouTube, I think before I had only seen it on mork and Mindy reruns. I daresay Denver probably hosts quite a few tennis tournaments and its altitude of one mile makes it very difficult to play there.

Denver is one of America's fastest growing and best economies, Colorado is very much a purple State, I would say.

Backhand in tennis is very difficult for me but forehand topspin is certainly a possibility. Service is not so easy although certainly possible however my serves have no speed, easy for a good player to smash away. I like baseline friendly rallies, just practicing strokes. I used to write at the whiteboard with my left hand when I was working as a language teacher in France and Bulgaria, that wasn't hard to do, being right handed.

Have to wake up in like five hours and bring the boy to his first sailing lesson at Avalon sailing club. We are certainly having issues, that boy and I.... He's a good boy though, I have a good opinion of him.

Now this sailing club lessons for the boy is a big commitment, 815am starts and it's on til March. That's Sunday mornings. And Saturday mornings now I'm bringing all three kids to swimming class. I myself have been swimming like 500-700 metres most Saturday mornings, with my goggles and snorkel, swimming well, very pleasant sport.

Oh I stayed in Forest Hills Queens in NYC, six months. Super nice suburb. 67-76 Dartmouth Rd. Forest Hills has such pretty and splendid mansions, you could absolutely spend your entire life there and just go to Manhattan for special events like a million different things and be perfectly happy. I'd advise stay away from the subway. Even when it's low crime. I'm only mentioning all that as McEnroe lived in Queens so just saying. Forest Hills a-ok.

About 7 hours late, what an auspicious morning, it's been a long haul from the ghetto where I filmed my dance video. Some Australian Sheila like in Hollywood (it's actually a suburb of LA) challenged me to a dance off or something. So few more moments later, just got to move my ute, there's some american lady from Pennsylvania, Ally, with three kids like me, hers are all boys. She said she moved her car away from in front of mine (as I'd mentioned my tires were trapped in the bark). It's a real nice social scene and I've been a bit starved for good social contact for a while, my church group in St Ives were pretty fancy upper class like.

In my teenage years clique we had one tennis champion, Coley. We all thought he'd become NSW number one or two but then he and his high school sweetheart Tina, who he's still married to, true love, got too into each other and he couldn't just play tennis all the time. Sailing is so much more than tennis as you can travel the world in yachts. Some kid around Coley's age, when he kinda let his tennis go, ended up buying my bro Stalin's (not his real name) car after he passed away, in 2017, with help from his parents. The kid, Luke, was a NSW champion baseball player. Baseball's not big in Australia though.
