One of my colleagues at the bus depot, Brad, we don't talk much anymore just hi, fuel tank is half full, park over there.
I annoyed him one day in the tv meal room bitching about the Russians invading Ukraine plus I was ranting about some Arab kid in western Sydney I gave a half hour Uber ride to. Kid was saying how his uncle was some Iraqi general back in Iraq for the Shiites militia somewhere or something, some tribal chieftain. Brad spat the dummy after I started asking him about his Mrs and Ramadan.
But we still have cordial relations, I just clear out when he comes to the meal room late at night. He spent like 9 years in special forces or something after 9/11 in Afghanistan and also a little in Iraq. It is a bit of a nine year war the whole 9/11 thing maybe.
