Red Herring trip 3 (projected)

 Projected for this Sunday (Sydney time) I'll get my buddy Brett to skipper. If your friends aren't interested in you, get a boat, they will come. 

Brett is super knowledgeable about boats and I'm not sure I trust John whom I barely know. He seems somewhat flakey and unreasonable.

Brett epitomizes Australian/American-ness, his father was an American GI based in an American military base in Germany who found an Australian woman to marry. Apparently he was from an extremely messed up family and was extremely abusive to his Australian wife and kids on the American military base in Germany, so much so, that Brett's mother, a born and raised in Australia kind of whitey, I guess, had to go to her husband's military superiors to complain about him and his violent ways. I think he was a drunk too.

Very similar to my parents before I was born, however Brett's mother picked up and left the military base and headed back home to Australia with Brett and his brother. In my parents case, my mother never left and my father mellowed out a lot by the time I was born so had stopped getting drunk a lot (didn't drink) and stopped bashing his Mrs. However alot of damage had been done by that point to my eight years older brother and mother (by aforementioned fatboy).

Anyway Brett grew up fatherless but his mother gave him some whoopings in Sydney and apparently he bashed his younger brother quite a bit but the brother wasn't much younger so could actually put up a fight and would hit him back. Also he got raised around Merrylands in Sydney which is pretty badass, a lot of Lebanese people, his childhood buddies.

Anyway the ticket on Sunday will be to get the girls, my two daughters, Brett's daughter who is besties with my youngest kid, and my girls' momma (they momma [sic]) to step onto the Red Herring in style from a swanky bar which has a rear entry boat wharf. Brett will help me approach the wharf and tie on and my son will come with us. So the guys in one car and Brett's daughter with the girls in a different car. That's the plan, I'll let y'all know how it goes...

I'm on hold with WABC radio station based in NYC, as is Bill O'Reilly I suppose, as he will be on soon. It's unclear if I'll be on at all but now I have discovered an open line to Greg Kelly (from newsmax) who I would like to talk to (former air force fighter pilot / some kind of Texan). With Kelly he's on around 5am-7am Sydney time so the trick would be to call him midway through his show on days I wake up around 6am. I've got WABC on speed dial now...
