First COVID-19 alert on my app

Ok so in NSW we have the NSW govt app. I know what you're thinking, you're super individualistic, you only watch Sex in the City and drink your martinis shaken not stirred. Good for you. You don't need your government getting involved in a pandemic.

I never found the measures overly intrusive and I understand that the emergency room ICU staff are very put out by the covid cases and are the people really in need of protection. I'm. also understand most people don't think about or plan for death in the family. Also many things happen on an ad hoc basis and many different unscrupulous parties like politicians or pharmaceutical companies might try to exploit a pandemic for their purpose.

Having said that, I wasn't even really expected to check in to the venue with the app yesterday as the girl attending was pretty lax and feeling more flirty than enforcing. Anyway I checked in anyway and now I can see I'm a possible exposure to two different parties on two separate days in the last week. Also my next door neighbor has COVID. Seems like it's an endemic but you never know how it might play out. I'll go gobble some vitamin d just in case.

I'm glad the app let me know.
