you know what's interesting about the korean term 'cumsumnida' which means 'thank you'? it sounds like a hybrid of english 'cum' (as in cum) 'some' (as in 'a little/some') and the chinese expression 'nide' (meaning: 'your/yours')......... in fact, whenever i heard recorded messages on buses in seoul say 'cumsumnida' during my three month stay there in early 2006, that's the only sense my poor little brain could make out of the korean expression
anyhoot, today, got rid of the fridge door blasted by the speeding porsche driven by some psycho nut called alex, mentioned earlier on linked blog, and got a new daewoo fridge door, this one, has no car attached per se, and is a fridge in the traditional sense of the word (just sits there chilling) --- the 'fridge door' i dumped in a wrecker's pit today for a giant machine to devour, was traditionally referred to as a 'car' door, which i replaced and which said car my bro 'uncle joe' now drives around....... it wouldn't be much of a fridge with him i guess as he wouldn't have had his aircon re-gassed, go figure
