so this photo was taken in valencia, spain.... around mid august this year.... the guy on the left is a print journalist that covers big business type stories, macro-economy stuff, he lives directly opposite the valencia soccer team stadium.... we're distant cousins.......his father was my father's cousin ---- all that side of the family traces back to north-western spain, asturias, going back very many generations, it's traditional bean [sic] a christian stronghold against moslem invasion -- a very mountainous zone, very pretty place to visit if holidaying, full of little mountains........ desi, on the right is my mate, both of these guys are/were journalists, desi used to work for the bulgarian subdivision of ny magazine business week......... i regret not keeping my cousin's details better, including even his name, which i now forget, as he struck me as a likeable guy who i'd like to keep in touch with, i only made his acquaintance on this last trip to spain....... old told i have about 30 first cousins and untold second cousins
some more of my family.... lady on the left is journalist cousin's mom --- i didn't meet her until day of photo - above - don't know her, but she seemed to have nice energy and be a good person.... without too many manias, complexes, morbidities, etc...... guy on the right is my uncle, he's a judge in the area of workplace labor laws, etc, in mallorca.... little island historically related to catalunya
above, some Finnish Finns of Helsinki......... always seemed to develop a sense of kinship with the natives wherever having lived abroad, with single or in a relationship........... however, only two days with the Finns, can't say, but seems like the place could have very good potential for fun and adventures
