Wow my under 9s team (with some ten year olds) really got trounced today. How badly?
Consider Rick from British comedy, the Young Ones, describing his team's defeat:

Might as well pivot to royal watching. I wouldn't generally go out of my way to do so. My siblings tell me Queen Elizabeth rolled by right in front of our house* in western Sydney when I was about six years old. I might have seen the motorcade but wouldn't remember it. Similarly if I'm around and about I might notice that kind of thing, regardless of my age. I've noticed the Prince of Wales (then) on a trip to Fiji was shown in photographs at a museum in Fiji speaking to Fijian soldiers of the British army. In those days Fiji was part of the Commonwealth and Fijians I think were all granted British citizenship even without joining the military. His majesty at this time was possibly a member of the British military himself, like his son later on, Harry.
I also noticed more recently some newly minted banknote presented to the King and the Prince of Wales attending a soccer game with his young son.
