Hmmm, it seems my self education in American history will be best served by an understanding of the Kansas Nebraska act and the Texas Republicans wish to stop the spread of slavery therefrom.
The previous factoid on American history I noted was that when an early president, I think Andrew Jackson, was inaugurated, so many ppl turned up to the white house, yes that light reflecting thing not painted black, to get wasted. Ppl were ambulating about so the staff pulled some bath tubs outside and filled them with liquor to entice the ppl outside. Very plausible story.
