Two former American combat veterans with parallel histories commit homicidal suicide attacks within hours of each other

 

Seemingly by pure coincidence. Neither seemed to know the other but both were apparently disgruntled and somewhat maladjusted returned combat veterans or heroes with relatively similar military backgrounds. One killed a bunch of folks in New Orleans with his vehicle and a gun, the other suicided by gunshot rigging his rented car to blow up in Las Vegas. I'm not sure if he killed anyone.

I'll just pivot to two American military guys that rode in my taxi cab back in the first half of the 2010s in my taxi driving days. One I never could establish any friendship with. Both were apart in time and never knew each other most likely. The former was visiting from some theatre in Afghanistan where he was a combat soldier. Maybe in his 30s, very robust and strong. Very masculine type guy. Northern European type genes. I have him a ride to Pyrmont. The other had his girlfriend fly out to Sydney from New Mexico or one of these former territories of Spain and he flew out from the Afghanistan war theatre there to meet his girlfriend. They rode with me and we struck up some friendship, perhaps because we were all somehow Latino or Hispanic it was a commonality. The gentleman was likeable but at the end of the day there are mucho Australian war veterans around without going too gaga for the Americans. Anyway I think he ended up breaking up with the girlfriend but she stayed friends with my wife and I on Facebook and recently messaged me to say happy new year so it seems appropriate to make some comment about her.

Going to catch a third Shakespeare play at the sailing club next weekend most likely. It's a yearly tradition. First much ado about nothing, then Othello now King Lear. I'm hoping an old acquaintance, a local Australian tv producer will turn up, I'd like to show him.my boat also. 

My son who is only eleven has made rapid acceleration in table tennis and almost defeated me a few times today having various match points. However I remain undefeated for now but it will not be easy to stop him from winning eventually.

Got to drive my bus tomorrow, Sunday double pay, mo' money. I finished the two grass jobs nearby my 1994 crib and high school. Plus one on the way back to Sydney in the little town where my high school girlfriend coincidentally stayed in those days. That was like eleven tiles of grass. It's been really hot lately so a lot of grass is drying out in general.
