aren't courtroom scenes incredibly clichéd in American movies? It always seems they play out the same way:
insert wavey visual effect and harp music,
a crowded courtroom, roger from American dad is there in a green wig, Flo from the progressive car insurance radio commercials is the stenographer. A dream team of lawyers including the shithot lawyer from the Simpsons and the lawyer from south park with the wookie from endor defence stroll in and flip open their briefcases. A gavel is hammered, a fan is waved over a sweating brow, an aerial shot of the courtroom shows a brief silhouette of a bird flying by under a sunny atrium.
"the prosecution calls George walker bush, your honor."
a clichéd audible gasp as the entire courtroom is surprised.
"please watch the infomercial from the trump campaign mr. Bush," the judge advizes..

the court views the infomercial after a clichéd futile "objection!" Is overruled...
another "objection!!!" follows as the wookie lawyer asks Mr. bush if the infommercial is funny.
a pregnant pause ensues. An old black grandmother stops knitting. Everybody leans forward just a whisper and stops breathing. The wookie lawyer is leaning all over mr. Bush and the judge prompts him to answer the question
a clichéd inaudible response follows. "please repeat what you just said", the judge prompts.
"it's kind of funny," Mr. Bush is clearly heard to say. Flo faints and the bailiff runs over to her, meanwhile the courtroom erupts in innuendo like a bubbling cauldron. Bang, bang, bang, "order, order, order!" Cries the judge in the most clichéd way imaginable.
of course the prosecution lawyer says, "no further questions your honor," and there's a fade to black. So predictable.
