HEARD of 'Smithfield' meats? me neither, but if you were living in america, then you probably have -- it's their biggest pork growing and slaughtering operation in america........ normally americans draw a big fat red line against communist chinese takeovers in their economy, being more or less a caucasian race (in the main part) as opposed to australians who are a mish-mash of any old race the world can cough up with a healthy dose of rednecky (substituting t for d in the english language with all that entails) english manners......

for example, benji remembers migrating like a wandering jew from communist china to america on march 14th, 2005........ around these dates, the communist chinese were trying to takeover some big californian oil concern........ the u.s. congress was against it, in these days, benji didn't appreciate the difference between republican and democrat much, only that the americans were anti-communist (they had already gone to war with china and chinese styled communism over korea and vietnam by this point)

now, all of a sudden, they're happy to sell their biggest pork concern to the communist chinese.........these seems to indicate a sea-change in trade and relations between the two countries.......

Guess I won't be buying Smithfield products any more. The Chinese poisoned my dog a few years ago and I swore off any food products that even hinted of Chinese ingredients or processing. I also try and avoid products from other countries where I feel the food safety is in question. It may cost me more, but it's my health, my families health, and my pets health, so it's worth it to me. By the way, did you see that the USDA is now allowing chickens to be exported to China and then re-imported back as processed chicken nuggets, etc. Unless a company can prove to me that it's chicken products are all USA, I won't be eating any more processed chicken products.

I hope your dog pulled through,that was terrible I remember that,now they make counterfeit prescription drugs ,people are dropping dead because they think they have taken their medicine but in reality just ate a ball of plaster and paper machete and poisonous dye.anything for a buck.
