the media on the right and left in america would like to pride themselves, in their narcissistic fits of egomania, that they are shaping events, but that's like the ant in aesop's fable that thinks he's important because he's causing the dust to be stirred up by the wheel (he isn't)..........that's what democracy is about, the public deciding........ the media get their little bit of fame and cruisy jobs just kind of gas-bagging around like sewing factory women gossiping about but at the end of the day, CNN proves to everyone that american media can never be taken seriously and is to all extents and purposes, whimsical at best, whimsical, all too whimsical, if you will

and if the media has any power in shaping events, it's only in proportion to the ignorance of the rabble, therefore it is the blind leading the blind

ok first of all, don't listen to all potential u.s. presidents in america when they bitchily and jealously whine about the attention world cup soccer is getting at the moment, soccer is absolutely a magnificent and athletic game.... americans can pretend only games with helmets are cool all day long but then they go watch lacrosse anyway so go figure......

so the first and only game we've caught this world cup, not having much time to watch soccer, generally, is nigeria versus bosnia herzegovina, nigeria is winning after the first half 1-0....... nigeria are awesome and it'd be great to see them win the whole thing.... it turned out they won that game 1-0 and go through i guess to the round of 16, being reasonably strong at soccer

glenn beck: now the little scottish dandy is complaining about the washington redskins having to change their racist whitey redneck name to something less racist sounding like washington navajos; glenn beck, the kilt wearing, haggus munching scottish dandy whines about that, but if the boston celtics changed their name to fagbots of scotland and ireland, glenn beck would be the first to cry foul, la-bas avec glen beck! moving on: u.s.a versus slovenia, slovenia's population is a paltry (that's not chicken which is spelled differently) 2 million, so often they don't qualify for the world cup, they are fairly evenly matched with the u.s.a.. at soccer but possibly being eurotrash gives them a psychological advantage as europe is generally pretty good at soccer......

america were actually playing strong, they went 1-0 down but had a few shots at goal that didn't work out, then a slovenian ripped through their defense, their defender should probably have forced the off-side trap better but didn't, the goalie was beaten...... 2-0.... then i missed some of the game to put my kid to sleep at midday here, bradley just scored nicely for the usa.... it's now 2-2.... i totally knew america could win this game 15 minutes ago when they were 2-0 down..... i think they will win this game, it's going to be a good one now, i'd really like to see them win, and nigeria..... spain and australia are both out, they'll play each other soon but no matter what happens, they're both out, i'd like to see that game

back to Glen Beck, he likes to think he's a man of the law and respects the rule of law, that's understandable as he was born in the last 7th of the solar year which means he is ruled by saturn, so he would think that way..... but i don't think he understands how the law works, he says he's against illegal immigration but the IRS not checking phony social numbers when taking tax money is what makes america great, i'm so glad i could work in america and not pay tax or alternatively pay tax fair and square, without having to deal with the douche-bag incompetents of the immigration dept. there who are only fit to grab peoples' genitals at the airports during pat-down time, what's great about america is the guy giving you the pat-down, is very possibly there illegally and working with a fake social security number, interestingly, he's the one that's gonna be better at screening terrorists and less likely to grab your junk offensively

okay now we have a fresh game, not some repeat from 4 years ago or whenever it was, it looks like possibly iran in red, is that their flag, green white and red? it's not bulgaria, there's some emblem on it, they all look like they'd like to nuke israel and have nuclear power stations so i'm guessing it's iran, the other team definitely looks like argentina...... argentina have a very good chance to win this world cup but brazil are home town favorites and are probably odds on favorite to win

this game was already played anyway, predictably, argentina won, only 1-0 though.... this is actually nigeria's group, group f, benji is totally rooting for nigeria and they are definitely going through.... benji will root for america too but they'll have to beat germany or portugal so it might not be long-standing rooting....... to win they'll have to aggressively obtain, keep and control the ball at all times, not just when they feel like it or when it might be glorious to do so or whatever they think, they'll have to really go hard the whole time to win either of those games, it would be really cool to see though

next day, okay usa plays portugal in only half an hour's time, the little tiger, alex, is asleep, but will most likely wake up soon, we're going to avoca on the central coast around midday and the game starts 8am local time, so plenty of time to catch this game, benji will absolutely be rooting for usa the whole time...if they win, they'll definitely go through to the round of 16, if they meet nigeria there, that will definitely be a source of inner conflict for the benji.......... anyway, this world cup is crazy, shit hot teams like brazil have failed to win games, eg., against mexico, who are pretty strong anyway at soccer; italy isn't doing so hot, germany drew against ghana which usa beat, so there's no telling who can win..... benji's money is on nigeria but benji hasn't bet anything so there's no money anyway............. holland could definitely win it, italy, germany, brazil, argentina, mexico, the usual suspects..............

as i sit in my cab, on Wednesday morning, a little before 1am, the answer to the question: how do you solve a problem like Glenn Beck suddenly dawns on me in a flash of insight:

it's wintertime here, the weather has become cold as is normal..... the mood of the people changes considerably, they become more sullen, introverted, thoughtful, less prone to exuberant outbursts

today's routine, monday, is whiffy leaves super early, catches train instead of taking my car as she does on weekends, and alex let me sleep til 820am somehow amazingly he must have been happy to lie in bed and play with the sheet or something, sometimes he wakes me by pulling my hair but i think maybe i have slept through this for half an hour before and he seems happy with that maybe too

anyway, went off to visit one of my friends in my hometown, she hadn't seen alex in a long time, then went to visit my mom which hadn't seen her in about a month....... alex wouldn't go to sleep at midday as usual but then finally at 1230pm he went to sleep, my bro left as soon as i arrived to get his university graduation picture framed, he's very proud to have graduated university..... he now has a community college diploma and a university degree, now he's gonna get a masters, i told him to get a phD after that and  maybe become a lecturer........ his major is accounting.......... he hasn't worked full-time for long since the mid 90s i'm guessing.....

while alex was sleeping his 2 hour nap in my one of my bro's beds, there was some fox news documentary about george w bush......... if o'reilly was on, would maybe vet it for 5 minutes, possibly with a view to seeing another 5 minutes, but it's unclear if i'll ever watch it again, it's definitely blacklisted and haven't seen it since blacklisting it last few months ago...... unfortunately for george bush, he lost a daughter at age 1 from leukemia, that must have been absolutely devastating for him and his wife barbara, i cannot imagine anything worse than that happening to somebody, being a father of a little kid myself....... later on in my day, while at the swimming pool, on monday here, with alex, in st marys, i wondered about my grandparents from asturias, my grandma was from cangas de narcea and her husband from the other side of mountain valley, vizgana.... they had a kid called roberto, i think, that drowned when he was like 5 years old, i never once stopped to think how they felt when learning the news, but then at the swimming pool with alex, while constantly focusing on keeping him afloat and not getting water in his mouth but still being able to move and have fun, he's only 15 months old, it really occurred to me for the first time that that must have been upsetting for them, especially my grandmother, ana, i'm not sure how upsetting it would have been for her husband, maybe he just thought it was one less mouth to feed, i'm not sure............ it's hard for someone raised in a protestant environment to understand big catholic families, i guess, my grandparents had my father, juan, a gay guy that suicided a long, long time ago, two more kids and the drowned kid roberto is six kids..........that's a really lot of kids........ i know they used boarding school as a way to manage.......... i have no idea

anyway, before getting to the pool, while watching the documentary, bush seemed to be realizing his mortality, like he knows he's death is coming, sooner than later, his wife didn't seem that way, just happy her husband was being celebrated......... it was a lot of fluff from fox news

this brings us to christie in a round about way, after getting home from the pool, jimmy fallon was on........ normally we would never watch jimmy fallon, anymore than we would watch a reality show about a chinese eunuch or a documentary about men with extremely low testosterone, my gut feeling was to let the varmit fallon stain my tv while i cooked dinner for whiffy...... then chris rock came on, wasn't it meant to be father's day in america last sunday? so you'd expect chris rock to joke around about african american kids feeling embarrassed on father's day because their dads are always in prison, or pimping some hos or whatever or rapping or playing dice, etc, kind of the opposite to when the topic is big dicks, when it's a proud moment for them............but he didn't joke about that, so he had nothing........ it actually seemed fallon said the funnier black guy, dave chappelle, would be on his show (as opposed to rock)

anyway, they joked about chris christie 'running' and then christie actually came on, big mistake for christie, if he thinks he can kind of channel a few votes his way like they are monopoly dollars from the monopoly bank by appearing on kimmel or fallon, he's wrong........ he thinks his appeal is that the leftie do-gooder media loves him, including the eunich/not having testosterone fallon, AND he's a republican so he can win over both sides so he can really win...........he's wrong

the media think they can make this a race between clinton and christie by using their power, they are wrong too......... they don't understand the voting public how they think.......... if christie carries on shmoozing with the eunich/zero testosterone bearer fallon, he is better off tattooing loser to his forehead.......... likewise i don't think clinton will be president or even possibly win her ticket.........

and that woman from washington state looked good too.........unfortunately, the liberal media will be able to weed candidates like her out with varying degrees of success (mostly success, not failure)..... the media really distorts things greatly but they cannot dictate who will control the senate or house or even necessarily who wins the presidency, the voters are not complete morons although people that watch fallon, kimmel, gma generally are, a majority of them will vote democrat over republican.........this tea party guy that beat cantor seemed to make a lot of sense in what he said on accepting  his win

IT definitely does seem to be the case that futuristic fascist society/worlds or pseudo-facist world societies based on an oil-depleted future are a 'flavor of the month' in hollywood movies these days: hunger games; divergent; anyway, the 'giver' movie seemed to show a world where everyone is drugged up on meds..... kind of like america today, so not sure why it had to be futuristic......... lately i took a few looks at some PRAVDA articles.... this is the  modern day pravda..... so a little evolved from the ridiculous soviet times pravda which was a bunch of lies same as the communist government in beijing is spouting all the time...........

here in australia, it's next to impossible to find serious journalists, this is mostly due to the insular, nepotism of the anglo-saxons here who jealously guard their perceived control of the nation by holding politics and the media in a stranglehold similar to that which the russians yielded over the 'soviet' states but in a much softer, much less violent kind of way

on an individual level, i can't say much about it, if i take my kid who is quarter russian, to some church activity on a wednesday, i have two choices, anglo church or russian church, i prefer russian church as the russians there seem more interesting, but they're actually christians of sorts and their prior generations managed to avoid the bolsheviks by spending decades in china
