Ok so I ran down at least one of the two cranking starter motor batteries on the Red Herring to the point of almost uselessness.... Blunder or master stroke, or somewhere in between?
In truth, I cannot master my yacht and sailing in general without gaining mastery in electricals. As I already have a background in this area, as my father was an electrical engineer who did tracking work for NASA during launches in the 80s (yes he was proud of that) and taught me alot. Plus I took shop classes in grade seven, making my own working motor that actually worked, from scratch as they say, I already have a good grounding in the basics. My brother Joseph Stalin (not his real name) worked for a relatively short time for a circuit board company creating dynamic circuits professionally, however he and I shared little or no intelligence or anything and were not allies but basically enemies, kind of like Russia and America. I think maybe around these days he informed me he had gotten laid by some lady with one glass eye or one blind eye not working who was a real looker, it sounded more like a report to the KGB so I felt a little uncomfortable hearing about his sexcapades. Definitely this was when he was around 23 years old (I would have been around 15 years old) and it was before I knocked his tooth out so still being battered by him on random occasions. It wouldn't be much longer before he fried his brain with marijuana and turned to atypical antipsychotics like Clozapine for relief.
I blamed my brother for all the bruises I had covered myself in around age ten, falling off my bicycle when I finally got around to teaching myself to ride a normal two wheeled bicycle (to his dismay) to some random classmate or something, but covered for him like a battered wife for all the severe punches to the head that never left bruises, prior to and after that. Well at least the CIA never locked a football helmet to my head playing horrible messages over and over again, neverendingly, after pumping me full of LSD and electricity. Thanks???? (¡Que barbaridad! Madre mía)
Anyway. So I have a background in electronics. I found out I don't need to solder the old fashioned way my father taught me, but can just buy soldering tubes from the shop then you just hold a lighter to the solder point and it welds/solders the joint where you want to connect your cables. Hey presto! So I did that today and connected a deep cycle lithium battery I picked up for $135 from like Radio Shack (but not actually Radio Shack like). I also got a car cigarette lighter (female) socket trailing off two wires. So those two wires I soldered with the neat soldering fuses just mentioned to an old electrical wire I had (formerly an extension cord with the socket cut off). I couldn't find it anywhere but finally found it near my brother's old (machine) saw. Off topic, it's a beautiful saw, I tried it out a few months ago and it just slices right through wood like butter. I also painted half my tv room today and yesterday while I'm taking time off work nursing my back. The aircon folks left a few non painted areas and the walls were a bit grimy, not much. I'll paint the remaining walls some other time.
The electricity peak prices, 2pm to 8pm are DOUBLING from July 1st so the aircon will be expensive in the evenings. Maybe we should just burn more wood in the fireplace room.
I'm investigating solar panel providers for the house. The entire industry in Australia looks extremely hit and miss and saying dean instead of teen a lot and sounding reassuring is not leading to good reviews on Google, necessarily. Still investigating options.
With the Red Herring, I realise running auxiliary electricals from the cranking batteries probably not a good idea. I have already transferred a 100 watt folding solar panel and sundry wiring to her and removed one of the depleted cranking batteries. I have transferred a $25 voltmeter to her however I should refund this one and exchange it for the $40 option that shows battery capacity. I'm thinking tomorrow morning if it's not too rainy, to go buy a new cranking battery (around $290) and xfer it to the Red Herring along with the new lithium rechargeable deep cycle battery for the auxiliaries (is not for crank starting engine). Then I have also the appropriate sized screwdriver (small) to wire up the relevant electricals. Sundry extras like stripping pliers, electrical tape etc. I need to connect the solar panel to the remaining cranking battery that's flat on 11.2 volts and see if it can be salvaged. If I upgrade to the $40 voltmeter I'll be able to check the battery capacity.
Anyway. That's what's going on with that. Clocking on 130pm so hopefully can sort that out. My new next door neighbours (the owners recently moved out of the house to sail away on their beautiful originating from Seattle boat up the coast to Queensland state). The new next door neighbours are flogging (selling) these kinds of recycled plastic black trash bags. They're kind of pricey! You're meant to reuse them then just wash them in the washing machine if they get too dirty. They're quite sturdy and somewhat waterproof I understand so perfect for bringing expensive electricals to the Red Herring on my kayak. They're featured on Bloomberg and all kinds of big American and European tv channels. They actually track spikes in sales after commercials play in the northern hemisphere. I love these guys! They gave me three of these black trashbags. I've been using the biggest one for my kitchen bin since like two weekends ago when they gifted me it. I've stopped using plastic black trashbags for the kitchen bin and in general although I hope I remember to bring some tomorrow to the Red Herring. Actually I'm not sure where I put the plastic bags from when I transferred the cranking battery OFF the Red Herring last week, but something to look into tomorrow morning. Anyway the neighbours gifted me a middle size and small size black trashbag (made of strong durable recycled plastic). So I'll probably just bring both of them tomorrow if I get out onto the water.
Unusual rain. You would have noticed precipitation can occur even if there are no evident clouds. It was happening in such a way today as I dropped my daughter off at girl scouts. It wasn't raining anywhere you could see. You would have seen the gravel stones getting wet. Instead the roof suddenly starts consistently dribbling water. Conclusion, it's raining on the roof but not on the ground near the roof. I noticed a few sprinkles in the air getting out of my utility vehicle. Odd. I've wondered how aliens are able to disable electricity in human cars and the like. I've wondered that the technology we're now starting to learn about, just teaching my daughter Galaga, God I loved that game as a kid. She's only just turned five years old and can't read yet and still not real good at video games. Anyway you look at this new technology, where they have electrons binded to each other in packages (even millions of kilometres apart). The Chinese are actually studying this in great detail and scientists today say that this is potentially the future for encryption. I can't remember the name of this phenomenon right now.

Hmmmm, finally, with regards to quantum physics, isn't it interesting how of all the animals, only the spider appears to look like an electromagnetic field in terms of body shape and look....
I think I might have run into that lady like seven years later, the one my brother described. It was at the railway hotel at lidcombe. The manager there was a bitter and greedy woman, not a good person I would say. I quizzed my son on the Spanish word for 'eye' yesterday, por casualidad.
