what a great day! nothing can give you a clue about how great it feels to have your first baby, and a healthy one at that, unless you experience it yourself
we had a caesarian birth today at 237pm local time in sydney, australia........ capable surgeons headed by a female surgeon, cut open Desi's abdomen and pulled that baby out and then i got to spend an hour with him alone while the surgeons stitched wifey up...
that was really magic spending time with that blessed kid like that, let me tell you! i remember him opening his eyes and his responsiveness to baby talk and reassuring tones as he dealt with the displeasure of not being at his mother's breast was truly impressive, and his patience and calmness struck me as tremendously mature....
what an intelligent little boy he seems to be, i seemed to sense alot of intelligence around his fingers, they struck me as extremely intelligent fingers.... i'm glad his legs are normal and everything is healthy with him....
i would rate that first hour spent with him as a timeless experience and the greatest experience of my life.... although tremendously anxious for him as clearly, he belongs with his mother at her breast in this tender age.......
i love my kid!

yesterday a thin red line seemed to mysteriously appear on the rim of our bath-tub at home, and then, while seeing it this morning, it reminded me of a dream i had from last nite: i dreamt three africans were in that very bathroom, a woman in the tub bathing and a man in one corner and perhaps another woman (def. another person) in the other corner of the triangle shaped room........ none of them seem startled by me going in there in my dream
