Extremely strong winds overnight

 

Well last night is the second time this week I sleep on the Red Herring and as I've been away prior to that for a week or two, it seems some seagulls are trying to make friends with me. They started squawking as I arrived last night. I'm a little sick, my voice is all croaky and occasionally I'm coughing some kind of boogers out of my lungs, however I'm able to work ok, no fever or headaches, it seems I just need to sleep a few extra hours.

I'm still doing my Saturday morning 500 metres, plus, swims. So I slept very deeply both nights this week on the Red Herring and last night I woke up to pee and the wind was absolutely howling like 20 plus knots, easy. As you can imagine, on a swing mooring, the wind is always blowing into the bow of the boat, making the stern point away from the wind. So I can have the stern window open all night, no matter how hard the wind blows, and the wind won't blow inside. So sometimes I'll just leave a bucket by the stern window to pee into overnight, instead of peeing in the actual toilet. Always nice to have dual options, like two nationalities or whatever.

So I wake up to pee last night and the wind was absolutely gusting furiously, maybe even 25 knots. Crazy. I was a little worried my kayak could be ripped off its two lines and go missing, but because of my illness, I just went back to sleep and slept in til 1020am. So falling asleep like a little after midnight. I just remember that wind was bitching, so strong, same time coz of my croaky voice condition, just too tired. I'm ok during the day, just can't talk real well but nothing is hurting.

I even slept one night in the depot this week which I normally would never do. My legs hanging from the knees over the edge of a two seater sofa all night. The reason for that was I was way too tired to even be able to drive ten minutes that night, again because of having this croaky hoarse throat condition.

Anyway I got the boy from camp, only a ten minutes drive from Mona Vale. Drove him home and put my gardening tools away. Earlier in the week I'd reattempted one of my client's lawns, for the first time in like over half a year, just whipper snipping and blowing (tools) plus grabbing weeds and dry leaves by hand. Those two tools were in my car for a couple of days after that. That lady's lawn is the only lawn I've worked on anywhere in the world with bloodsucking leeches in it. I'm an idiot to put my hand up for it. I've seen lawns all over the world but this is the only one I've seen with leeches.

Ok so two nights ago, was so tired working til after midnight, struggling to stay awake behind the wheel. Plus at the bbq had about five beers, kinda unislamic. Also kinda ill the whole time with hayfever or something. That's how I got so tired behind the wheel.

Anyway so just slept at the depot first time sleeping overnight at Mona Vale depot. Think I did it once in like two and a half years at Willoughby, it's not the done thing. So woke up happily at the depot. Had a shower, talked to Paul for a while, one of the drivers, he wants to get a boat and was asking about my boat. Then my manager Fenwick from Willoughby cum Mona Vale about going casual roster, means very soon I can just reject any work and only work when I want to. Spring is ramping up and my clients are calling me for lawn mowing. I want to get into that instead of bus driving.

Then went and volunteered kitchen duty at this camp Alex is at. Not the first time although the first time with Alex there I think. Going again tomorrow and sleeping on the Red Herring tonight. Monday will be sweet, sailing a 35 foot yacht from Dangar island to Avalon with Alex and the folks at the sailing club that handle group excursions. They're all spending the weekend and Monday on that iddy biddy little island, but Alex and I will catch a train to Brooklyn then the ferry to Dangar island then sail the lovely folks 35 footer with them.

I'm reading that David Williamson play, the operator, and going to the next audition, like on the 11th October.

Like last weekend saw two young people in a wheelchair at different locations, the first female with her head pointing to the left the whole time like it always points to the left. Not just any old wheelchair either. Then later that day a young guy with his head pointing to the right, also in a sophisticated wheelchair. More than just a coincidence. Then last night some ex spray painter cum worker's compensation drunken bum wanted to murder me for expecting him to pay his bus fare and suggesting he go to AA. Australia is full of dopes like that.

Also going whale watching Saturday with the three kids after swimming. Can't bring they momma anywhere, just can't stop whining and complaining. Total dope.

One time in Hollywood I went to a museum exhibition with my girlfriend, just a pop up shop kinda thing and it was of either a mental asylum in St Petersburg Russia or else the NKVD headquarters building in St Petersburg Russia which later became the aforementioned lunatic asylum. What's up guys? After all that traumatic childhood, suicides and beatings and facial spasiming mom with her crazy pills side effects. Thank God for the folks at the Colorado mental health counseling helpline and also the folks at Lifeline Australia, I can now watch Kingswood Country and Bullpit without feeling traumatized (my early childhood to age 21 bff FDR - not his real actual name, just a nickname for him - called me a 'wog' (wop/guido) like three times in thirteen years, what a crime against humanity.)

Anyway so one of the guys at the bbq yesterday, his only child, a daughter and my youngest of three kids, also a daughter, two five year olds were playing happily, also with a couple of other little girls, although they paired off a bit also. This father, his father was an American GI stationed in Germany. I think he mentioned yesterday his father was in combat in Vietnam however I wasn't listening well. 

At one point I mentioned to a different girl's father who seemed to like my buddy as a buddy  (not for hot steamy gay man sex kinda thing, I mean noone here is as hot as Bill Hemmer except for me ladies and I'm a lot hotter in every way, someone needs to feed him a poisoned apple y'all, then I'll be the fairest in the land, another thing about that is, actually nevermind...)

Speaking of apples, so I was telling Jonathan this Brett's mom whipped him with a chain and then his wife started attacking him physically also (you know, background information), but without embarrassing Brett as only Jonathan heard. Anyway this Brett was telling me, General McArthur (like blood and guts McArthur) actually gave his mother an award (I think because the base commander in Germany was embarrassed an american gi was bashing his Australian wife, or else because she was active on the ladies club or something. Or because Generals like to socialize and stuff. I mean my sister Trish was telling me few years ago she only works with CEOs nowadays over in Madrid in her English as a second language teaching gig and an american military family flew out to Paris in an american army airplane to have a holiday plus a quick dinner with me, so why not right?

So gay-sex, poisoned apples, Kingswood Country, Paris, oh yeah, this new spinoff, Bullpit, I do like the horny old french lady at the retirement village character, I like that character, she's amusing. Some of these Australians really think acting properly means acting like British so you're going to see a lot of that.

Wassup? Dropped Alex off at spring camp today. First we left around 725am as is our usual Sunday morning routine now, second Sunday in a row. We hit the sailing club after like 45 minutes on the road and I definitely have to make sure I don't get Tony's name wrong there again or he's going to be annoyed. There's a whole bunch of different names to remember and considering both my parents were Aries and Aries are driven by magnificence, all I can say is Avalon is magnificent and the sailing club there is likewise, magnificent.

I do not believe my parents achieved magnificence however I do believe they were Aries and Aries are beholden to seek and be moved by suggestions and representations of magnificence and the highest ideal, so I believe that's why I would take interest to find something magnificent, however magnificence and the desire for myself and others to rise doesn't really drive me like it would do an Aries. Not sure if that makes sense but the sailing club, suburb and marina/moorings Pittwater harbor all seem splendidly magnificent.

Anyway dropped the boy at spring camp, sharing our first game of pool together. I see he has no technique and I can help him in that department. The camp center is run year round by a married couple from our church, the wife having fairly beautiful dark skin in my estimation, the husband being a reasonably likeable fellow. The camp is run for thousands of kids across various parts of Sydney. We stopped going to church regularly anyway and only appear infrequently for lunches or whatever anyway.

Years ago, like 8+, when I first began babysitting Alex before he was even one, I figured why not go to church? Instead of just hanging out alone with an eight or ten month old kid or whatever.

So I was posting a few posts ago, so sad, my only real favorite family member, Raquel, had taken her own life at age 29. Dreadful. I mentioned briefly dating a girl from college during the fallout of that back in winter 1999 (ie around July) and just now, bringing my son to church before he was even one. Now this was my first time attending church as I had not been interested prior to, not even to 'blow them up' as Ted Bullpit, from the Australian tv show, Kingswood Country, would say. 

Now as it happened, entering a kind of (Anglican) christian "catholic" church (the Anglicans call themselves catholic) with my kind of H Spencer Lewis (Rosicrucian) background on Christianity, it was really no surprise to me to feel like a suggestion, true or false, that the main pastor's eldest child, a mere five or six year old, at the time, was the actual reincarnation of aforementioned said sister of mine, Raquel. Therefore it became interesting to speculate on that notion: where the justice stood in it, both for this particular child and her new family and for me, if it's true that God Itself did indeed share a truth with me and that girl was indeed my literal sister Raquel's reincarnation. Now in psychology we might say wishful thinking and in psychiatry we might say psychosis requiring medication. And in marijuana smoking circles, we might say, trippy. But in purely religious parlance we must say either true or false, it can only be one or the other. So I'm happy to conclude that ultimate knowledge and truth only belong to God, but that potential truths and theories and hypothesis might offer interesting insights into potential forms of justice and realities.

Anyway I did not obsess about this matter much. Certainly while I attended church with this child I considered it a definite possibility I was interacting in person with the very reincarnation of my beloved sister Raquel, however it gave it far less thought than, say, the British give nowadays to their deceased monarch, who, in fact, lead a full life and never had a premature end.

Well around five or so years ago, I drove a bunch of those folks from that Anglican church to Bruce's year round camp ground place, but Bruce and his pretty dark skinned wife are not from that church but a different church, not an Anglican one either....

The Anglican folks from that church I caught them at the camp grounds two or three years and drove a bus for them about two times. And I've volunteered on kitchen detail there for other groups once or twice. But until now noone from my family sleeps over there but Alex is having his first night there and on until I pick him up Friday. It's on the way to my bus depot anyway so I'll bring his sleeping bag by tomorrow, we forgot it.

Oh yeah one of my wife's Russian buddies gave us her old 'connosieur' BBQ a few years ago. I'm not much of a BBQ guy, being a little socially awkward or whatever but I cranked it up today after having it inactive there for a few years gathering cobwebs and made some nice beef sausages and lamb chops as we had some pretty pleasant company today.

Just walked by a big funeral reception posse at the funeral parlour near work. Most days it's empty. I invited my mother to join me in like 2018 to a similar size kind of affair, we both ended up attending.

Look I think it's great Tucker's writers get invited to big weddings and funerals and football games and they know the rules of football, that's awesome. But they have no idea what they're talking about regarding the Ukraine war. On this topic their bitching is miles away from the target.

Russia's military and Putin are not competent to prosecute this war. They don't have the right weapons, they don't have a proper communication system between officers and recruits. They don't have the right defenses. They don't have the right medical supports. They don't have enough supplies of ammunition. God only knows how they're going to eat or survive the winter. Even if they drop nukes, it's not going to help their soldiers on the ground. The Ukrainian army is absolutely kicking arse.

Once the Russians change their government they'll be happy to sign a peace treaty. The Russians will revolt if they have to.

The first thing for everyone to realise: love or hate America and the UK, and plenty of UK folks hate American things, whatever, the UK and the USA have an actual signed treaty with Ukraine and Russia.

Signed by Yeltsin, Clinton, Major (I think) and the Ukrainian leader of the time, you can argue about motivations and whatever but this is a signed treaty. Even if the Americans and Brits aren't thinking about honouring it first and foremost, still they're abiding by their contract from the 1990s.

Russia's government in lockstep, showing Lavrov in NYC, Putin in the Kremlin and the Russian spokesperson for the Russian embassy in Paris, who was in studio. Sorry can't remember his name, looks like Bill hemmer from fox News or Clark Kent or something.

Look you can be in lockstep and agree on something and be wrong. In this case, being right or wrong is not about political careers in Washington and American media spin. In this case right or wrong could result in an overthrow of the Russian government. At the end of the day, Putin wants to be the boss and isn't showing us he's thinking about handing control of Russia over to the next person and when.

None in their right mind believes Putin's spin about the west trying to destroy Russia but it is true that this is really how Russians see things. But the mistake of the Russian strategic military leadership and political leadership from Putin, in my opinion, I'm just an observer. Is trying to buffer the plains from Ukraine to stop a tank attack from Germany or NATO is WW2 thinking. I think Putin really wants the considerable natural gas in those four regions he's trying to annex because he wants to exploit that gas for Russia. We're talking about billions of dollars of natural gas deposits.

Aside from the USA and UK involvement in Ukraine as per their treaty signed with Yeltsin in the 1990s, we see Germany slightly changing their posture from WW2 and Finland has joined NATO. I don't think it's a big deal. Putin wants to send prisoners into battle, Russia has a non professional, corrupt, brutal army, let Putin purify them and Russia. War will purify them, that's for sure.

I further understand journalists around the world have their little flings and affairs and adulteries and little ego bubbles, oh so special. However military people on the ground and military tacticians far away from the battleground, that's a separate thing from dopey journalists. Further I cannot see real resistance within Russia for Putin's position. Putin can generalise about 'the West' but there's a patchwork of widespread nations and alliances unsympathetic towards him. Consider Japan.

It's like I made a scientific breakthrough, consider that neither Clark Kent nor Superman ever say 'get farked yer farken shluts' like an Abbo. That might explain the x-ray vision, hmmmm.....
