Impenetrable fog on the Hawkesbury

Wow, I got like from Akuna Bay marina, the berthing there, up to just shy of Cottage Point and it's wall to wall impenetrable fog. Dropped the anchor and listening to country and western. Will read Markson's Wuhan book while the fog clears up. Didn't notice the overhanging gum tree on the marina channel so the mast and stays brushed into that a little, no big deal apparently. I definitely feel keen emotions on the boat: panic, deep concern, anxiety, elation, joy. Not sure if adrenaline and cold are feelings but my hands were really cold this morning. I must say it's an extremely comfortable thing boarding one's boat at marina berth. Chilling at the marina, if I was running a big corporation or something, I'd probably want offices at a marina and a permanent berth. Wouldn't need a bigger boat though. Anyway I'm not so that's all good.

Nautical points to consider:

Raising sail stabilises boat in ocean swell, raise sail where there's swell if need be even if wind is minimal.

Anchor chain is what stabilises, Red Herring only has five metres, get another fifteen or so....
