Elite elderly couple assassinated in Biloxi, wife was running for mayor....

Well that seems pretty random but I'm including it for one, sometimes I like watching crime documentaries. Especially murders. Normally the murders are serial killers or crimes of passion, family members especially. However this particular crime was based on the wife running for mayor on an anti gambling agenda, she was assassinated by organized crime interests. I haven't finished watching it yet but it will be interesting to see if they caught the guy.
Now it's also interesting to see images from Biloxi as I spent a week or two (probably two) there in the summer of 2005. NYC was too large and overwhelming and I wanted to get away a little with a bunch of Spanish speaking guys on United Airlines for a little southern adventure. We flew into baton rouge from NYC and I regret not seeing more of Louisiana than the airport however I was aware of its charms psychically through my aura and psychic centres, from the 'atmosphere'. Many times when folks refer to their impressions of the 'air' or 'atmosphere'of a place, the actual mechanism for this is through the aura and certain actual glands like the pituitary and pineal glands and their associated chakras or psychic centres, just to put a scientific spin on it.
Anyway in Biloxi, the law in 2005 when I was there was that any gambling could only be done 'on water' (not land). I could easily see the hypocrisy and corruption of this by stepping like six inches onto a massive concrete floating pontoon housing a massive hotel/gambling premises. I did not actually do this but it would have been a mere few steps away. Most interestingly for me, was that this particular hotel barge parked on the water on the Gulf of Mexico, a short walk from my crib, had a very ornate electric guitar neck and tuning head as a kind of massive decoration some three to five or more storeys high, hanging high over the hotel.
What a ridiculous rule, only gambling on water. Better not to gamble at all. Anyway when hurricane Katrina broke like a month later I was back in Manhattan/Queens watching it on tv. A few months later I was back in communist china from whence I had come and curiously, that very guitar neck I had been looking at in Biloxi was on the floor in my quarter in northern china, near Beijing, snapped and broken by the hurricane, in a photo in a Chinese newspaper.
In those days I was reading an interesting novel on american politics, not actually All the President's Men, I thought it was called that, but a novel with a similar title**. George and Laura Bush visited Beijing at this time also so I probably could have tried meeting them or seeing them if their secret service would allow it but I wasn't interested much. I only knew because Laura Bush was in a photo with George standing around in Beijing not far away looking perplexed and this too was mysteriously lying around in a newspaper on my quarter's floor.

Moments later, the boy's hoverboard just arrived (belated birthday present, five weeks late, $205 ca-ching, he's a hard worker) and is charging up. I had oil panic and donkey kong hand held Nintendo games when I was a kid.... along with my three siblings, but no hoverboard.... Watch Homer win this argument:
