The mere word can conjure images in my mind of the failed working class school campus I attended from pre school thru end of year nine. Failed because the socio economic area seemed only to produce people who eschewed books and learning. I was a rare person as I eshewed sunlight and exercise to the point of becoming rickety, perhaps, to read. So while I was never a standout in science, still I have a basic grasp of many fields of science.... Therefore perhaps it's not a surprise that enough intelligence AND learning, hasn't been bashed out of my well formed skull, so that the following long and bloviating discourse on DARK ENERGY (not dark matter), makes perfect sense to me:

Now froynd, consider also that science has made great leaps in the field of subatomic particles, so that as a child in the 80s the 'quark' was a new thing, now we have muons and all matter of particles studied.
