it's quite obscure, but we don't mind making the observation, not being in any hurry as eternity is taking place and will continue to do so forever, regardless of our state of mind..... it's funny, because recently, as is my wont occasional to read about metaphysical things, we were reading, my subconscious mind and i, about how it is in the afterlife where a kind of 'film-viewing' occurs where the soul re-checks its entire lifetime.... in a kind of, outside of time-space thinking kind of way......... anyway, i was just re-reading about mark twain, a writer i was fond of as a kid, when they described his trip to utah, then i recalled that during a phase where my now deceased sister was living in a beachside area here in sydney, with her boyfriend, both in their early 20s, he was a likeable guy, he always had the best technology apple macintosh of those days, about late 1980s.... it was about this time i first started noticing the simpsons, too.........anyway, one game on his macintosh was 'goldrush', about settlers that cross various perilous plains to get to california, in the 19th century when there was no railroad......... this only came to mind because it was my only reference point when reading about twain's experience in said era......... he seems to have had an interesting life, samual langhorn

nowadays, according to moore's law of electronic chip evolution, as outlined by bill gates in his book, 'the road ahead', computers have come along way, now in 'grand theft auto 5', you can torture an arab..... funny how arabs don't complain about this, but probably find it cute, good old arabs

interestingly, Twain was friends with the great Croat, Nicolas Tesla:
Twain was fascinated with science and scientific inquiry. He developed a close and lasting friendship with Nikola Tesla, and the two spent much time together in Tesla's laboratory.
Twain patented three inventions, including an "Improvement in Adjustable and Detachable Straps for Garments" (to replace suspenders) and a history trivia game.[33] Most commercially successful was a self-pasting scrapbook; a dried adhesive on the pages only needed to be moistened before use.
His book A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court features a time traveler from the contemporary US, using his knowledge of science to introduce modern technology to Arthurian England. This type of storyline would later become a common feature of a science fiction sub-genre, alternate history.
In 1909, Thomas Edison visited Twain at his home in Redding, Connecticut and filmed him. Part of the footage was used in The Prince and the Pauper(1909), a two-reel short film.
