For months now I've been meeting argentinos on the bus, occasionally chatting in Spanish. Now I've finally found their albergue in Avalon, just walking by to grab my ute half a mile down the road to the Red Herring.
Wow they really love their beer and marijuana. You can smell it everywhere. I effected tremendous skills at the one game I played, succumbing 21-16 or 17 in the end. But really striking some beautiful shots. It's been quite a few years. I played a little with JFK (not his real name) at Willoughby depot. A few years ago, but not at all with him at Mona Vale depot much.
The argentinos speak the voseo Spanish. And are fond of cussing saying concha (literally shell ('vagina') de tu madre). The double l letter is not pronounced as a y but as sh. Calle, street, or, be quiet sir/ma'am, is not pronounced 'car' [sic] yeah, but ka she(tland pony).

Antony Bowman, he was living in Avalon back in the late 90s. I went to his daughter's birthday party with all the rich privileged kids. I'd just seen his movie with Hugh Jackman at the cinema a little bit before like maybe weeks or months, paperback hero, with Hugh Jackman. I showed him my student film I made first thing at film school and he said to hit him up like in ten years. But I never ended up doing that but would be happy to meet him again and talk film or whatever. Maybe I'll shmooze more with these types now I'm doing acting classes Thursday night. But actually for now I'm happy just hanging out with the argentinos. Although they are super stoned on pot and drunk. It's pretty noticeable.

But it's interesting he never used any adjectives like hairy, dangerous or wild (sleepy? catholic? cheese munching?). That can be his homework while I play table tennis. Pablo is no good at table tennis and very stoned. These guys play if you lose 7-0 then you don't even play out to 21. That's how bad Pablo and I lost.

America is so 'christian' of a certain kind, not only in the deep south and bible belt, wherever that is, but also in the northeast, his relatively moderate and educated words about Christianity cause him to be banned thirty years from Harvard. Today Harvard is almost anti christian compared to those days almost two hundred years ago:

Well what I was going to post up a couple of weeks ago was going to be a kind of criticism about Emerson's cheerful reflections on religion as had been listening to one of his books read out and it seemed overly cheerful to me at the time, but clearly he had experienced a lot of grief in his life. Folks in his day tended to die a lot more often from relatively harmless issues nowadays.
Was Emerson opportunistic/mercenary? Was the overly cheerful tone I detected earlier a result of him 'cashing in'? Here's an example, one of their literary circle members, Margaret Fuller dies. Do her surviving literary circle buddies 'cash in' in a mercenary way?....

Was in the Alvarez family suicide garage in western Sydney. Garage door was off and I was near opening. Surprisingly a number of small, unknown species black birds like black finches or something, wanted to be my buddies, like Snow White has bird buddies I guess. Then black dogs also. Coz it was like the spirit world and astral tripping, my mother was home and was happy to see me.
In another section it was like a marvel movie, high buildings in a city and superhero like djinns that could turn into colored smoke like in marvel movie and disappear. One of them was trying to protect someone from like a giant ten storey high robot monster or something, possibly also a djinn disappearing reappearing into smoke/normal form. I saw a marvel movie advertised on tv while getting stitches in my left pinky at hospital today, my second gardening injury with the hedger tool on that pinky spot. Marvel movies look evil and horrible. At least I didn't have to pay $20 to watch some evil marvel rot the cinema.
Also read my kid Snow White just as we were both falling asleep. Anyway those black birds and dogs whatever were alarming me but weren't life threatening or terrifying.
In another part of the dream aforementioned daughter and I are with rest of the family like at Oxford street in Paddington. She's missing on the wrong side of the busy road so I tell her to wait and try crossing the road but it's at a tunnel entry point, more like the criss cross city tunnel on William street Paddington but anyway not the same one as either place just reminiscent. Anyway I manage to make contact and she's able to cross the road that I'm halfway across when the pedestrian light changes.

Gee I really like Newcastle. The identity of the city itself makes me see myself and others in a different light. It's a very pleasant feeling there having all that space away from Sydney and still feel like being in a big enough town. Very likeable environment there....
