Australian actress Rebecca Gibney discusses anxiety and mental health

Including suicidal ideation, panic attacks, etc.

A lot of children in Australia are being sexually assaulted, most recently in daycare settings. Or by stepfathers or even older kids in the neighbourhood. With the continual stream of intrigues and general stupidity that constitutes daily life in Australia and the general incapacity for depth and seriousness in public life, multiple generations of Australian kids are maturing into adult survivors of rapes of various kinds. Often perpetrated by authority figures like foster carers, teachers, etc. Where adults are unaware of their underlying issues in the case of sexual assaults, due to denial or forgetfulness or blacking it out, anxiety and depression and suicidal ideation is sure to ensue.

Generally speaking, I agree with Gibney discussing mental health issues publicly and encouraging people to get help. If you're like me, you would be suspicious of government funded mental health and psychiatrists due to their predatory disinterest in people's issues and just blanket insistence on drugging people up on the grounds of some kind of beliefs in chemistry and biology (ie., wilful disinterest in people's emotional baggage).
