He talked about plaques in a refurbished train station in Colorado, while campaigning for an Hispanic senator in East Colorado, twenty feet apart saying, "no Irish allowed". Interesting.
Definitely I was watching the new airport at Denver on YouTube. An interesting airport in every respect. Worth studying.
Interesting to hear this Biden talking about his grandfather. But would have been that much more interesting if his deceased grandfather he mentions, was the Irish guy standing behind him, resurrected, as it were. We'll never know.
I know my mother always had a copy of James Joyce Ulysses around the house. While I was a voracious reader in my youth, I never did take any interest in James Joyce. When my mother passed away I decided I was only going to mark her passing with her aboriginal best friend and the latter's family, in terms of in person, face to face. I know there was a good amount of dysfunction in this woman's family. But I also noted they kept photos of historical protests their people had made at the old parliament house in Australia. Having my unusual imagination and usual curiosity about the laws of resurrection and how they worked. I wondered if James Joyce himself, the famous Irish author, could resurrect in such an Australian family as my mother's best friend's family, as her very son, in fact. We'll never know. I do wonder about these things.... Not the only one, obviously....
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
