so a rival deals with themes of linguistics and brain wiring which is one of  benji's main interests in this particular lifetime...... basically there's a girl called Nappan (pronounced nappin') which is written HannaH in Cyrillic.............her parents are big on squids, I mean they just love pulpo al ajillo....... the squids - there are two of them, abbot and Costello, they actually have super-advanced technology that allows them to travel through time and space and they have a massive written alphabet which they squirt out with ink jets, just like the Xerox printers I was engaged in offering product support for in Bulgaria in 2008 to the market of Xerox printer users in spain (on behalf of ibm) -- basic helpdesk IT............... so the squids squirt messages all the time because they are all about dye.........not die like a single die, half a pair of dice, as it were..........the squid are not afraid to be diced, which is the normal destiny for a squid when having relations with humans.......... this is because they are super advanced squid............ so their alphabet consists of circular ink splotches similar to what psychiatrists show you when they're trying to figure out if you're a serial killer....... so nappin's parents are tasked by the u.s. military and the cia to figure out what the deal is with the squid.........same time some other squids are dealing with the chinese and the Russians.............. everyone's scared that the squids will deliver some cutting edge technology to the rival that will help the rival wipe them out......... I actually had a memorable nightmare about this at around age 7: in my nightmare, the chinese had figured out some crazy technology such as is used by aliens to make enormous ufos that float around with ani-gravity --- the chinese built some massive warplane like this the size of a football field or bigger and were going to wipe everyone out........this was in fact the most disturbing nightmare I had as a child...........another disturbing event as a child was watching some giant stuffed toy in the room, maybe before sleepy time, and the light was on, and then all of a sudden I could see like a human hand where the giant teddy's or panda or whatever it was' (inventing a new grammar thing there adding a possessive apostrophe to was) paw would be, the fingers were drumming, as if impatient, it was a kind of psychic vision such as kids have, it was mighty frightening......... I have never related the two aforementioned psychic events of my childhood until now, but they do resonate with one of the big themes in the movie............. in the scene where nappin's mom calls the big chinese general and starts talking to him in chinese, all I could understand was: wo shi zai meguo -- i'm in America --- this is because my chinese is extremely weak

however I did enjoy the notions of linguistics and brain wiring the movie threw up (no pun intended)...... on the drive home I remembered the notion of nappin' and nappy and my own notion of sleepy poops and wondered what it would be like to be a baby, nappin' and crappin' in your sleep.... most people don't crap in their sleep or crap standing up, but for babies it's standard....... as a traveller who has lived in a lot of far flung alien places with no English (or Spanish) I can definitely relate to the baby psychology of just starting at everything like a baby.............. I also recalled flying into Germany one time, as a 16 year old or maybe it was when I was older like 24, and realizing that the way the city in Germany was designed and laid out must have correlated to their language and notions........because it's true what the movie says that each language has a psychology that dictates how people think......... I always found in English the americans were the clearest thinkers of all the English speakers, by far, and they never walk themselves into confusion like other English speakers......... in german though, and Spanish, there is great clarity and precision with words and Spanish also has a lot of tricks when it comes to double meaning and what not........... Spanish is actually a somewhat sophisticated language.......

anyway, with the language in the movie of the squids, they are able to help humans read the future because once you start learning their language you start seeing the future..........maybe aliens are trying to influence filmmakers on the psychic plane to present certain ideas, who knows............ it would have been nice to watch 'giggity: the musical, quagmire's big day out' but it just hasn't been made yet so there's not much

so, you wouldn't believe it maybe, but with my job, it's like the same thing everyday --- that's might change every half year or so, but even then, it would just be the same thing everyday --- next week, thank God, my first leg of busdriving will be a different run, less duration, and a familiar area, the next suburb over........ the second leg will be the same as always, but it suits me anyway as there is a 20-28 minute break there between mini legs

anyway, this first leg that's about to expire on Friday, this is what's weird, driving up towards a hospital, there's a jewish guy in what we might call 'full regalia' walking down the hill - this in itself is not unusual, just wearing black pants, a white collared shirt, side tassles, a beard......pretty standard, nothing too llamativo there....... but in this case, about 30 yards behind the jewish guy, there's a guy with his left leg missing below the knee walking along on crutches.........and then, astoundingly, another 30 metres or so behind him, another guy with a missing left leg below the knee walking along on crutches......... then some lady wearing a shirt that said 'nerd'.......... then I finished that leg, just past the hospital and did the return trip back to the depot for my dinnertime breaktime ritual, and lo and behold, there's the same jewish guy walking about a mile away........sans his legless followers this time, actually said jewish guy was somewhat gimpy anyway

I mean there are other options, but it's something i'm seriously thinking about.........the subway for sale near my crib is actually poor location due to being on major/busy road (silverwater rd) about a mile from here as the golf ball flies (parabolically) i'm guessing..... to stop there in your car, you have to have it on your mind as your approaching it in the traffic, you won't even notice the flag they put out and then it's like almost a surgical driving manoeuvre just to pull into the parking lot which requires a ramp -- most of their business is from local pedestrian regulars from the surrounding businesses..... hardly anyone would pull in in a car coz of the business of the road

benji would unquestionably watch this movie in full, but not any Dan browns nonsense nor sully which is too mediocre subject matter






2nd, baked in Brooklyn, about some kike in Manhattan that sells pot, benji would give it half an hour, getting old to watch that, but maybe with my kids in six years time, who knows, never too young to explain dangers of drugs

5th, some movie about American Jews! Finally they're the subject of the movie and it's in America, not world war 2 gas-land somewhere all depressing.... looks very promising! Indignation.

turns out this movie is based on a novel by phillip roth who is a famous and accomplished American jewish novelist....... watching some interviews with him and reading up on him, it seems like some of his books would be quite interesting to read, maybe starting with goodbye columbus -- he has a lot of books........ prior to discovering roth, the only jewish American writer of interest was joseph heller and i was interested in reading a couple of his books as a teenager but subsequently lost interest......... Roth also visited Prague a couple of times during communism and developed some relations there with local authors, the most famous would be Franz Kafka, however he was born around 100 years in Prague before Roth showed up there



6th... denzel Washington movie, fences........ looked at some of the associated reviews and interviews.... Washington seems like a competitive guy (in real life)
