one time in Gunsan, south Korea, some American girl from Maine was bragging about how she was hanging around with the jet fighter pilots at the nearby American air force base. And also that Stephen King lived on the exact next farm over from her parents' farm property. Not sure the veracity.
walking in to the cinema, having read IT as a kid and possibly seen the previous version of the movie, anyway having skipped the preludes and walking in to the cinema with IT down the drain, a memorable scene from my childhood imagination. I started thinking how miserable my childhood was, being I had to order my mom be sent to a mental hospital age 10 or 11. Just one miserable highlight of a thoroughly miserable childhood (I did enjoy king's books though, they made the hell a lot more bearable). Anyway I was thinking I would have been happy to have IT as a friend, during my own childhood, but then IT bit the kid's arm off. Didn't look like fun, would have saved me a lot of suffering in my case, so IT is still looking good as an ideal childhood friend. I'll keep you posted about IT, in case that appraisal changes.
ok actually hadn't ever seen IT before on tv, just having seen the trailer: http://youtu.be/hPxyQ7oj8no
IT is looking very poor, so the images in my mind were from my childhood imagination while reading the book once or twice, not from actually watching IT on tv.
but this second movie is really something and does IT justice. Hopefully none of the young actors were molested behind the scenes by paedo Hollywood handlers. Hollywood folks really need to worry about that more and less about saving rare Amazonian tree frogs, just sayin'
Gunsan girl's neighboreeno talks IT up:

very talented, entertaining writer, sure enjoyed a lot of his books as a kid. Gunsan girl said she was a drama major at university and like a Pisces. Her favorite maxim seemed to be: 'Let's roll souls'.
maybe IT's time to read some http://www.agniyoga.org/index.php
