first of all, the war in Vietnam, I could be incredibly ignorant, but according to my lowly armchair general pitiful understanding, that war would have been won same as south korea and Vietnam would have been a thriving democracy for most of the 70s and 80s if there were bombs that could have effectively thwarted the extensive tunnelling underground that the viet cong was using so effectively.... this munition would be like a modern cluster bomb that lets fly hundreds of mini bombs, however, each bomb would effectively drill into the ground then explode..... obviously there would be a lot to that like some kind of sonar system or something to detect where tunnels are, plus the ability to deploy massive arrays.... that technology doesn't really exist even now but it could be developed and would be winning in a tunnelling situation........ Vietnam was unquestionably won, or lost, based on the effective use of tunnelling by the viet cong which was too much for even agent orange to handle

to Afghanistan, the problem there is that all the Pashtuns rely solely and exclusively on growing opium poppy for their 3 billion dollars a year, it's all they care about and they base their religion or lack thereof (mostly the latter) and their fighting, women, loverboys, machine guns, everything on their precious heroine trade. it is an utter abomination and totally against the Koran which speaks against corruption. heroine trafficking is unquestionably corruption. if I were running America, I would get someone to come up with a CRISPR virus, if possible, that can genetically mutate the entire poppy population of the entire Afghanistan so that it can no longer reproduce itself due to genetic manipulation. this would effectively be spread by a bee or butterfly. I understand the u.s. military has capability to cause large fires amongst poppy fields using lasers and what not, but I doubt this would be effective for the entire crop nationwide due to the danger of RPGs..... if deployed, a CRISPr virus might effectively reduce the entire nation's crop significantly..... if it did, I would grab my crotch and tell the Pashtuns to suck on that and then get them to disarm or starve. i'd probably set up a new nation could hazari-land or just hazaah! with an exclamation mark, coz that sounds cooler and put it on the border with Pakistan and let the hazaris live there and separate the Pashtuns somewhere else and never let them grow poppy ever again........ otherwise that nation will always be backward and stupid heroine dealing garbage
