generally, reporting on russia provides the 'modern western journalist' with the perfect challenge to reveal what a limited moron he/she is.... that's why when this moronic little upstart comes to russia, and reports, we get the same old crap:  putin authoritarian, russia sux......... always very florid languid but very un-nuanced, really very limited reporting.... here benji reports on reporting by reuters that's a little more nuanced than the usual garbage the western media pumps out about russia -- here at least they make an effort to show some of the nuances in russian society instead of just telling us how backward and stupid the russians are in their florid, gay, uninformative language....

the main issue is that the western journalists come in with their own bigoted standpoints: if coming from australia they are bigoted pro-england, pro-english-monarchy, pro-england and normally cannot use english language properly, confounding brought with bought and such other hokey-isms.....

when coming from america, typically they are tokenist liberals that are anti-black except when it's tokenist pro-black and just generally ignorant, believing men to be evolved from monkeys

when arriving from italy, again, stupid, pro-catholic, pro-pope

the 'western journalists' do not appreciate or realize their own biases, but to the discerning reader, or just to basically anyone not from their own national bias, it's more than obvious

well today we scored a baby bath for my son to be which i have kind of decided i will call rafael regardless of what other people call it.... how we got it was quite a coincidence.... on the flight back from the eternal hell the catholics describe which in fact while seeming eternal and kind of was eternal in a sense, did in fact last not much longer than 2 years in bulgaria, on the flight back from bulgaria to australia around march 2009 - benji met some german woman on the flight and through her a russian woman from st petersburg that we hung out with a few times there in sydney in early 2009.... then who did it turn out to be from ebay today selling baby clothes but the one and the same russian woman which was actually a kind of buddy of benji's in early 2009 thnx to the german lady on da plane..... now this russian woman is a filmmaker animator and works on these big budget american californian movies that outsource some of their work to australians so she's some kind of filmmaking footsoldier that nobody knows about.... while she was selling us the baby bath, i asked her if she met robin williams, the american comedian, during the premier of some penguin movie of which she worked on most likely after the owl movie she was working on when benji first met her... she said he was at the premier but they didn't talk......... one of benji's ex-girlfriends, recently mentioned in this blog, also worked on the penguin movie happy feet although possibly not the sequel that the russian bath-tub woman worked on........ all of this is not relevant to much as benji cares naught for either movie but is always interested in the production side of filmmaking.... benji also asked the russian woman if the father of her little 7 month old baby, who was also present around the home at the time, was the same guy she mentioned she was dating 3 years ago when her and i were friends, she affirmed he was..... she certainly looks like a strong woman, and my mother in law once told me that russians are strong, healthy people and i would have to agree with that estimation.... on the other hand, my buddy recently visited in new zealand, that is 'colored' (as she describes it) south african, also tells me 'colored' south africans have very diverse, strong healthy genes and again, i would have to agree with her..... i certainly would not have a problem with having an african son or daughter in law.... just let it not be same sex 'union', e.g., with an artificial inseminated child from some unknown sponsor, no thanks

other friends this same day provided us with a play pen free for when the baby is old enough to crawl around, the one 3 foot perimeter play pen will provide boundaries/limits for the baby's movements

we also went to a bulgarian club meeting between bath tub and play pen...... whole bunch of bulgarians partying
